
How to Speedup your PC/Laptop using Regedit Tweaks
Step 1: Speeding up Menus
Open the Registry Editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel
> Desktop. Find MenuShowDelay and open it. There you will see a
default value of 400 milliseconds, change it to 100.
Step 2: Disable Notification Balloons
Notification balloons are a bit attractive but at the same time they eat
up a lot of windows memory resources which eventually slows your
computer To disable these notifications, open regedit and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Explorer>Advanced.
Right-click there, open the “New” sub-menu and click on “DWORD.” Type
“EnableBalloonTips” into the box and press enter. Double-click
“EnableBalloonTips,” type 0 into the box and click “OK” and save.
Step 3: Disable Paging
Your operating system would run faster if they were loaded into memory.
This can be performed by disabling paging executive. Open regedit,
navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control>Session
Manager and Memory Management.Double-click “DisablePaging Executive”
from the right pane, adjust its value to 1 and click “OK” and save.
Step 4: Tweak Windows 7 speed

Run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > ContentIndex.
In the right menu locate the value called “StartupDelay.” Next
double-click and open StartupDelay. Change the “Base” from Hexadecimal
to Decimal, and enter 40,000 instead of the default setting which is
480,000. Now restart your computer to experience the difference.
